A good group assembled at the Trafalgar Railway Station carpark for what would turn out to be one of the better rides for the year. The route was slightly different to my information but covered the same roads, but in a slightly different order. We were treated to some flat ground initially to get the legs working before arriving at the first climb just northwest of Yarragon. After that we encountered undulating terrain prior to arrival into town. This area is very pleasant riding country.
Lunch in the park at Warragul was rather relaxing and enjoyable. We even had Rhonda join us for lunch, Jos unable to attend as he was not looking too good.
The return journey had us retracing our steps initially before heading for the hills. The climbs were not as big as the profile suggested, being longer rather that steep. The run down from Shady Creek was not all easy going with the odd climb thrown in. The group had a couple of run outs towards the end just to exhaust our last bit of energy. The countryside and weather made this ride a big success.
